I think it was a great offer! The 2 was $10 at the time of purchase and the 4 was $13, so I figured I'd grab the 4 just in case I get a different Pi later. The 3V fan is virtually silent while the 5V fan is somewhat audible, but even then it's fairly quiet. I keep mine at 5v as my Pi is overclocked and it stays pretty cool. I also love the lights which is one of the main reasons I bought them and they add a nice touch to the Pi, especially if you have a transparent case. I would recommend them…

This fan cools very well and is quiet. I have several Raspberry Pi servers on my desk and I don't notice their noise. They are also fully compatible with my 3D printer. I am very happy with this product and will buy it again if needed.

All four fans worked and were very quiet in any orientation. The connectors mount securely to standard .025" square posts, and the fans draw 50mA when running on 5V. They don't move much air, but even a small amount of air movement has a big impact on thermal performance, so they should work great. for cooling small appliances.
