Ender 3 firmware on stock board without bootloader

Ender 3 has an 8-bit board and the bootloader entry takes up memory that you can use to enable features you might want to use. With USBasp, you can plug it into your board and write firmware directly onto it, saving valuable space. If you're the kind of person who likes to experiment with features and try different firmwares, then this isn't for you. You need to connect it to your printer and computer every time you want to download new firmware. However, if you don't change your firmware, this

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Will not work with ANET board with ATMEGA1284P

Bought this before I did enough research. This prevents me from writing a bootloader on my ATMEGA1284P chip found on ANET boards.

Software not updated

I got this for programming Arduino Nano Clone boards with AVRdude. AVRdude complained about the possible need to update the device software. The update process requires a second working programmer, which I ordered, so now I have two of them. In order to program the device, it was necessary to install jumpers, but the contacts were not installed. The holes were there and marked, they just didn't put the pins. I finally decided I was spending too much time debugging the programmer and bought a…

Used to flash hex file on Ardunio Nano

I have this flasher to flash hex file on Ardunio Nano ATmega328P. I used Windows 10 for this. Initially I had some problems with the drivers, but followed the advice to use the zadig software with the libusbk drivers. I had to use AV8Burn O Mat to program because I couldn't get zloader or rct-uploader to work. I also had trouble connecting the ribbon cable as it wasn't very clear. from the documentation I found. I created the attached visual guide to help others and not let me forget how I did…

  • . Good product for the price

Works great, make sure you're using the right drivers!

I had to install a software called Zadig to install the right drivers to make it work with the Arduino software. The ones I found at the link provided didn't work at all.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • I have doubts

If you are into microcontrollers, buy this!

Buy! This is the best purchase I've made in 2020. As a result, I need it more often than I would like. I'm working with an Arduino Nano and sometimes the bootloader gets corrupted and that fixes it in about 30 seconds.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Expensive

Worked to a halt

AtMega 644 programmed upon receipt, no problem. Postponed for a few months and then tried to flash AtMega 168P and couldn't. AVRDUDE showed that this is a firmware problem on the USBASP. I tried to update the firmware using Uno R3 but could not connect despite known and tested good connections. Something on the circuit board didn't work. It worked once. Now I'm trying a different device.

Pros
  • This product only supports WINDOWS system
Cons
  • Expensive
