High quality OEM part in Humidifier Parts & Accessories

Our "Original" General Air solenoid valve kept dripping water, wasting water and clogging vaporizer pads prematurely. This OEM replacement part installed quickly and controls the water as it should.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I don't remember

Worked on Honeywell HE220A

In my rush to install my HE220A bypass humidifier I forgot to install the transformer and burned the supplied solenoid valve. The OEM valve costs about $10 more. I ordered this and was able to install it. The only difference is that the bracket is on the opposite end. This meant the outlet did not line up with the rubber water inlet hole and the fitting had to be tilted slightly to avoid pinching the rubber hose. I also had to salvage the fittings from the old solenoid to match the pipe. used…

Perfect fit Easy installation

My General Aire humidifier has stopped working for a while. I believe the original valve became clogged with debris when we installed the new water heater. In the end I decided to just put in a new valve (and filter since it hadn't been used in a while). Installation was easy thanks to YouTube videos. It took me about 15 minutes and the humidifier worked right away. Great price for an original part. My husband appreciates his practical wife. :)

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Expensive

The third is for our humidifier.

This is the third valve we have installed. Once installed, they work great. The first came with a humidifier and lasted about two years, then it wasn't opened so there was no moisture. We replaced it. The second lasted less than a year before starting to buzz loudly when turned on. Until I was able to get another one I found that if I hit it with a wrench it would close for a while and then it also started to fail. The new one completely solved the problem (again) and everything works again…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Reliability
