The description states that this article has plugs and sockets. there are no connections. At the working end of this cord is what is known as a boring gimlet (looks like a pigtail). I was expecting to be able to attach my own cutting blades, but that's not possible. As always, Amazon was happy that I sent this cable back.

This doesn't look like the cheap kites you find in the big department stores. They bend and bend very easily - then they don't bypass the turns in the pipe. I am a homeowner and have a lot of drains to clean. This snake is strong enough to overcome the toughest blockages. Spend the extra money, you won't regret it.

I use them all the time in both the flip and standard heads. Nobody makes them like General or Ridged Tool. They are not designed to connect to each other. Bending the snake can sometimes help free the inside of the tube by rubbing the side as you drive the snake in. Make no mistake, drain cleaning is an art in itself. It's mostly hard work.

This 25ft replacement line is suitable for drum rods. The original line that came with my General machine was a single wire with a coiled end. It is ok if you don't "hook" anything on the rod causing the rod to twist and bend.The 25HE1 has a wire core which increases the twist resistance of the cable.The only downside to these lines is that they add weight to the rod ; harder to hold in one hand Make sure the diameter of this cable matches the chuck or other collet you have on your machine.
