General Color Tex Pencils Set Review

According to my experience, the General Color Tex Pencils Set is the perfect addition to any artist's collection. The bold and bright colors give my drawings a dynamic and lively feel, making them truly stand out. The smooth and creamy texture of the pencils also make them easy to blend and layer, providing a great range of shades. However, some of the lighter shades tend to come out a little faint and require multiple layers. Overall, these pencils are a must-have for any creative mind.

I really wanted to support a US company and I have other General products that I really like. Other than that, I have to rate them as OK. The lead feels "stiff" which means it doesn't flow, and I've tried pencils on different types of paper, different qualities, and for different purposes. Same result. I was very happy about these colored pencils. Made in the USA. The company is well known and has been around since 1889. Disappointed with the colors in the pack of 12 pens! silver and light grey. There is no black. Light blue (there is no other blue at all). Olive Green, Hooker Green and Emerald Green. Yellow cadmium and yellow chrome. No brown. No purple.
