That's it! in lightbulbs

I'm happy to report that this is the lightbulb I've been looking for! I bought inserts/adapters that didn't work. As soon as it arrived I put it in my 1940's floor lamp, plugged it in and luckily it worked again for the first time in 10 years. I turned down other similar lamps at thrift stores and estate sales because they needed this particular lamp. No more need. I will buy a few extra just as backups.

  • It's amazing

The lowest lighting level does not work.

Judging by the reviews, all brands of mogul bulbs share the same performance issues: one or more illuminance levels do not work upon arrival, and the overall lifespan is shorter than before when they were regularly sold in stores. I'll keep GE as a backup but unfortunately the overall cost will be reduced. To date, the Satco bulb has provided all three levels of illumination; The Sylvania lamp arrived with only one worktop.

Great light in a naturally dark room.

I have an old fashioned floor lamp with a triple mogul mount and also three regular bases. I could buy an insert to replace the tycoon lamp with a standard lamp but we would lose the amazing light the tycoon lamp puts out at maximum output. They're more expensive and not energy efficient (hence only 4 stars), but a humpback bulb will brighten up a naturally dark room. These lamps last a long time even with daily use.

Started and working properly

Corresponds to the description and looks good quality. Don't immediately blame the bulb if you don't get 3 levels of light. It is very likely that the problem is with the switch or sometimes with the socket/device. It is very easy to check and change the light bulb with a multimeter. In my case, when I only had 1 light level, the bulb and switch passed the test with a multimeter and I found that the problem was with the contacts in the socket. The center contact touched the intermediate…

Only works with 2 settings and they seem to be the same

Ok these bulbs are hard to find and yes they work. Although the lamp packaging and label say it is a 3 band, 100-200-300, it actually only works with two settings and I'm not sure if they are actually not the same. There is very little noticeable difference between them. I bought this bulb as a backup, my old one is still at position 3 and there is a noticeable difference between each setting. So yes, it's nice to find this type of bulb, but I don't think it was worth the money I paid for it.

  • Test for a year

  • There are nuances

Excellent bulb for an antique lamp.

I needed a large base 3 way bulb for our antique lamp. I looked around and couldn't find a replacement. This lamp is GE branded and I expect it to last a few years. Some reviewers from other brands have complained that their bulb either burns out quickly or loses one of three stages. My lamp has endured many on-off cycles and no problems so far. I could buy an adapter that converts my lightbulb to regular lightbulbs. But I would lose the three-way function. We wanted a three way option. All in…

Bought two, both lasted about 2 months

20 years ago my grandparents gave me a 1930's floor lamp as a gift. Until last fall, they were hardly used. I bought a lightbulb many years ago. In constant use since last summer. This original lamp has lasted about 6 months longer since we use it daily. They've been hard to come by since then, so I bought 2 of these on this site for a little over $11 each. Both lived about 2 months. I was also able to find an adapter at Revain for about $7 and couldn't be happier. You lose the ability to use a
