Reliable Temperature Reader

This thermometer ACCURATELY measures temperature for many applications. Through trial and error I found that it is perfect for brewing beer in my home. The easy-to-read display makes it simple to use and it is built to last. The only downside is that it is not as versatile as some of its competitors..

Pros
  • Precise temperature readings for a wide range of applications.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in extreme temperatures or high-pressure environments.

I bought this thermometer to measure air temperature including outside temperature measurement for meteorological observations. The thermometer responds quickly to changes in air temperature. I took it outside tonight and the temp adjusted from 75F to 25F fairly quickly (less than 5 minutes). The glass bulb at the base of the thermometer appears slightly curved compared to the rest of the glass tube, but the thermometer works well. I assume this is a normal result of the glassblower…

Pros
  • Traceable to NIST, individual serial number
Cons
  • Very expensive
