Do not buy!

Don't work! Didn't exactly fit in my leather purse (thin flimsy back panels), took it back to the leather shop 3 times for repairs. Last time the leather shop tried gluing it to the skin, which just made a mess. The valve hardly engages and does not hold.

Very magnetic

I bought these for the macrame purses I make and sell. They are definitely strong magnets as advertised. If the pins were longer that would be fine but I am sure they will detach from the pocket as the pins are too short to attach properly and the strength of the magnets makes them difficult to detach . They would certainly be perfect for cloth purses.

Very durable - backing required

I used these smaller buttons on a homemade wallet. These are very strong buttons, so the fabric I was using (I know knitwear isn't always that strong) started tearing where the buttons were. I highly recommend using a durable canvas fusible pad for any areas you will be applying these fasteners! Or just layer it really well so the circle on the wrong side is less likely to tear through the fabric.
