Just unbelievable! More

So first of all respect to Revane and 1 day delivery time, just great! Next, this tool is great! It cut through Home Depot's galvanized roofing material like butter. Of course it's quite a thin material, but I don't think it slows down much with 2 or 3 times thicker material. It took a while to get started, but once the complete cutting head is on the material, it's very quick. As others have said, this is for straight lines, it does NOT rotate. I don't know how long this tool will last but I…

Pros
  • Quickly cuts metal roofing, waterproofing and other sheet metal up to 14 gauge. Compare Genesis Metal Shears to other drill bits. Scissors that can only cut 20 gauge sheet metal!
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

I wanted a smaller/lighter tool

I checked out the shears at the local shops and they were all big, heavy and expensive. I wanted a smaller/lighter version and found it with these Genesis scissors. They are excellent for cutting metal roofs. I use them every time I cut metal/tin for crafting. You can cut straight lines and curves. I've used them to cut metal blades for windmills and have found that I can quickly cut straight lines and then use hand shears/scissors to cut tight curves. The price is very good compared to the…

Pros
  • 360° swivel head for control and easy cutting - cutting circles and curves with the Genesis electric metal shears
Cons
  • Some minor things

Cuts thick leaves but cuts wide swaths.

Works about the same as most tin snips I've used. It's a little tricky to get the sheet in between the scissors correctly, but once started it moves straight ahead. It doesn't "roll" the cut strip like the others, you can pull this strip aside as you continue. And. The strip it cuts is quite wide for such scissors. You lose about 3/16 inch gap between two carved leaves with the strip it cuts out. Be sure to trim off the unused, unwanted side of your "cut line" on the sheet, as this thing loses…
