Works on X570 boards

Works fine on my X570 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard. It would be nice if they connected the retaining brackets to the backplate for those who need them.

Pros
  • Thread: 6#-32 (mounting screws not included)
Cons
  • Some bugs

I wish I could read another 1 star review - glue is a bad idea

It says there is a 'plastic layer' that you shouldn't remove. Well, there's a layer of paper you can peel off, and anyway - I'm not risking my motherboard using this thing. I'm looking for another one I can get.

Pros
  • Hole spacing: 90mm / 3.5in
Cons
  • Weight

Good AM4 backplate

Exactly what it says on the tin. I couldn't find any Finding backplates for AM4 sockets that just had unthreaded holes in the corners so I bought this type and just used a metal drill bit to drill out the threads it actually ended up drilling out all the nuts from the corner but my screws with it Washers worked fine anyway PC Eventually you'll short something Good luck!

Pros
  • Size: Approximately 104mm x 68mm x 9mm / 4.1" x 2.6" x 0.3"
Cons
  • Price for a piggy bank

Glue was the worst idea ever

First off, yes it works. It's the right size, the right thread, and it's metal. So this part works and gets 1 star. But the glue is just terrible. If this keeps up, you'll never switch off, EVER. Doing so will damage the disk and may damage your motherboard as well. The description doesn't even say it has glue! ("Insulation layer” is not the same as "adhesive layer”). The glue sticking to your motherboard is too strong. Stronger than the adhesive on the metal plate itself. As a result…

Pros
  • ONLY fits AM4 platform
Cons
  • Not sure

Good AM4 backplate

That's exactly what it says. I needed a new backplate because my secondary CPU cooler required the screws to come out of the back of the motherboard. I couldn't find any backplates for AM4 sockets that just had unthreaded holes in the corners, so I bought this type and just used a metal drill bit to drill out the threads. I actually ended up drilling the whole nut out of the corner, but my bolts with washers still worked fine. If you do it this way, be sure to blow or vacuum the part before…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • No instructions
