Love it! for lamps and lighting accessories

I have an old Silverado and the hood light stopped working. It was literally plug and play. The exchange lasted 1 minute. ideal for illuminating the hood area. I'm so glad I finally found a replacement and took a moment to fix it!

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Let light into lamps and lighting accessories

Good light output. The old engine bay light didn't work either because of a blown bulb or rusted connectors, but you could still hear it "popping" inside as it should. Too easy to replace to even mess with the previous unit and it fixed me in seconds.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some problems

Good item at a fair price

Was looking for this item and Napa and all the other parts dealers except the dealer didn't have it or couldn't get it and the dealer wanted 45 plus so it goes without saying it was the best Suggestion, it fits, great latches in place, cable connections, no issues or alterations needed, arrived on time, would buy again but hopefully won't have to

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

GM Original and Work Great

I have a 2000 Silverado and have always loved having engine compartment lights. Worked a long time, just stopped working. This is an exact match. The exchange took less than 60 seconds, works great. I wondered if it was possible to swap out a lightbulb in an old one. but for the price it just can't be beat. My understanding is that if you slide the switch to the closed position to turn on the light when you open the hood, it works.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • So far so good

I think it was good to get this one as I suspect the old one.

Bought a 2000 Yukon XLT for my sons, the one that was there when he got the car didn't work. When he was about to install a new light he "rocked" it in his hand and you could hear something, the weighted switch made a noise as it rocked I think. Installed, connected and everything worked. Pulling out the old one, he tried the same wiggling motion and heard no switching sound. I think it was good to get this one as I suspect that was old "Toast". It was an exact fit/fit for the old one.

Pros
  • Great for a small home

  • Some cons

Works great so far for GMC Sierra 2000 Engine Compartment Lights

Works great so far for GMC Sierra 2000 Engine Compartment Lights Mine was still working but when you took it apart and looked at the metal/copper contacts for the electrical connection were used when the hood was up, these strips were worn on one side. This electrical strip has a metal weight that slides back and forth and is used to turn the lamp on and off when the hood is lifted. After 19 years. I'm not surprised he carried and fought. Everything else worked on it. I found this exact design…

Pros
  • Handy Thing
Cons
  • Some issues
