Bad start but problem solved.

The first envelope I received contained only the cable without the charger. I contacted Revain/returned the cable and they sent me another package. The device I received appears to be exactly the same as the original that came with my computer. It seems to be working as expected.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Periodicity

Reliable Notebook Charger Accessories

For unknown reasons, my computer would sometimes not charge with the included charger, so I purchased this replacement charger. Had the same problem with it until I did. The problem disappeared over time; Both chargers work. I do not know why. system update? I will never know

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Poor Performance

Unit failed after 6 weeks

Purchased in late November to resolve the "cannot determine AC adapter type" message when the original Dell PSU is out of warranty. This worked for about 6 weeks before the same problem reappeared. I bought an analogue from another manufacturer, it works perfectly.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Neutral

Fits Inspiron 11 Laptop 3185

So far this works very well for the Inspiron 11 2 in 1 Laptop 3185. Not sure how long lasting it will be as others have complained about it. I could not find this specific adapter directly from Dell. The one they recommended was almost double the price and they ended up sending the wrong one.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Available in white only

NOT "Original " Dell replacement cable

I'm angry. I bought this cable last January as a replacement because my original broke on the way. The original caught fire last night so I got a replacement. I received an immediate warning from my Dell laptop that using this cable may not charge the battery. I plugged it back in this morning and sure enough, it won't charge. It's too late to send it back. Now I have to look for the original and buy it again. Revain should discontinue this product. THIS IS FUNYA!

Pros
  • A lot of positive vibes
Cons
  • There are some nuances

The device arrived in sealed packaging but it appears to be a recommendation. There was a bulge on the part of the connector that attached to the laptop, as if it had been bent and bent back. This is the same issue that caused the replaced PSU to fail, and indeed, after less than a year of use, the same issue. The problem started with the device sometimes not charging, or only when the plug was rotated in a certain direction. Now he's completely dead.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Commercial availability

If the adapter is not genuine Dell, it cannot be visually identified. It also works exactly as it should. Dell puts a chip in their power supplies that does nothing but verify that the adapter is genuine Dell. Unfortunately, if the 25-cent chip in a PS fails, the computer's processor will slow down and the battery will not charge. My original adapter (8 months old) put out the required 19V, but the computer's BIOS wouldn't allow the battery to charge. This is a really lousy way for Dell to make

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Compatibility
