Genuine Mazda (KD45-61-J6X) High-Performance Cabin Air Filter Review

I have a 2015 Mazda CX-5 GT and this OEM part fits perfectly. This filter was incredibly easy to replace yourself - just remove the glove box door, remove the old filter and put this in, replace the glove box door. (I even got to show my 14 year old son how to do it!)! I would pay almost $100 at the dealer to do that 3 minute job there, save some money and do it myself!

Just climbed in as other reviews say, it's behind the glove box like Hondas. As soon as you press the sides, all the crap in the glove box falls to the floor, so this is a chance to clean up. You lift the latch and pull out the old one - wow it was dirty, a few leaf fragments, a dead bug or 2 and it was nice to replace. The new one fits perfectly and is very quick and easy to make.

You Tube how to install this part and you will never let a mechanic ask too much for it again. Perfect fit as expected. Cheaper types of this filter are certainly available, but having an "Original Mazda" is worth the difference to me. My car still had the factory warranty. If something goes wrong with the climate control, I don't want to give Mazda a chance to get out of control. I know it's a long way away, but then again, peace of mind is precious.

The cabin filter I received was a genuine Mazda OEM filter for my 2015 Mazda CX-5 Touring. Original box, packaging and lettering on plastic (Mazda logo). To change the filter you have to pull the glove box down and out and then simply swap out the filters, making sure the part numbers are the same size and look.
