The price is ok, but the title says "Carboy w/55mm Crown Cap ".

The price is right but the title says 'Carboy with 55mm crown cap' but the description says 'Magic cap and rubber stopper not included'. If I had known, I would have ordered them when I bought them. Disgusting marketing! Now I have to wear them with foil until I find normal caps.

Great for experimental drinks

Ever wanted to try a new drink but didn't end up with 6.5 gallons of jalapeño coffee madness when it tasted awful? This is the bottle for you. You get enough to try all your friends, but not so much that you end up throwing it all away when it's awful. Just like the big ones, only smaller. The glass is thick and transparent so you can see the flaws and woes as you create your experiment. It also works well for small batches of really expensive beers that you only want to share with a few…

Nice smaller glass bottle that fits on water dispenser

I recently decided that I no longer want to store drinking water in plastic bottles on our new hot and cold kitchen water dispenser. I also went for something smaller than the 5 gallon jug since it looked like a bear on a bike on the dispenser and I put all my energies into getting it in place. The desire for something glassy and good looking led me to this bottle from organotcom. It arrived quickly via Prime, packaged very well to protect in transit. On arrival I was able to fill it up and…

They are excellent for storing and dispensing drinking water.

Ideal for storing and dispensing drinking water instead of plastic containers. 3 gallons when full can be carried around, and it's not that big - it fits comfortably on the floor behind the SUV's center console. The lower part is slightly recessed, which makes it easier to grip when carrying. They are very similar to the ones I bought locally for $35 which were imported from Italy so the price was right and since I ordered two I didn't have to pay for shipping. They were packed together in two…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Very expensive

I received the package in good condition. The main use of this product was in the fermentation of wort, but instead ended up in the storage of tap water (drinking water supplied by a large metropolitan area). Before use, I rinsed this container with tap water and filled it with water overnight. Tap water has a chlorine taste at the time of writing this review and leaves a limescale residue after evaporation. At the same time, I fill this container with drinking water and drink most of it. I…
