Description of Portable Passive Magnetic Loop Antenna πŸ“‘ for HF and VHF - GEZICHTA Magnetic Antenna

Low-loss wide-band BALUN with 0.28 dB loss typ. This antenna is not waterproof, if it is used outdoors, please do the waterproof treatment by yourself, such as waterproof glue. Passive design, no tuning required. It also works to some extent with the RTL-SDR V3 in direct sampling mode if you enable RTL. This is a super portable passive HF/VHF loop antenna designed for super low NF/MDS receivers like the Airspy HF+ Discovery.

Antenna radio key SDR!

Was skeptical. but I would take the V3 SDR Radio and turn on Direct Sampling Great results. in a flat valley and collecting ATC at a distance of 20 miles.

Pros
  • This antenna is not waterproof. When using outdoors, please do waterproof treatment, such as waterproofing. B. Applying waterproof glue.
Cons
  • Null

needs to be outside but not weatherproof

I'm in an RV, so there's a lot of metal. I only received AM FM radio and a 40m station, the rest of the bands on my G90 were zero. It's gotten better outside, I got a local airfield tower that's nearby.

Pros
  • This is an ultra-portable passive HF/VHF loop antenna designed for ultra-low NF/MDS receivers like the Airspy HF+ Discovery.
Cons
  • Something is wrong

I live in a trailer, so there's a lot of metal. I only received AM FM radio and a 40m station, the rest of the bands on my G90 were zero. It's gotten better outside, I got a local airfield tower that's nearby.

Pros
  • Passive version, no adjustment required.
Cons
  • So far so good

Terrible performance

Connected to all my instruments, spectrum analyzer, network vector and all radios. Of course, as described, this antenna does not pick up anything on HF. It has a ridiculously low noise level because it doesn't pick up anything. I could hear very well with my Shack antennas but wanted something with a lower noise floor. Stay away from this antenna if you need performance.

Pros
  • This also partially works with RTL-SDR V3 in direct fetch mode if you enable RTL.
Cons
  • Very expensive
