They make big, nice sized square ice cubes. There are no objections in this regard. My biggest concern is that every time I use them to make ice cream they leave a white powdery residue on the inside of the mold that has to be scraped off after each use. This doesn't happen with my other silicone ice molds. I'm not sure if it's poisonous or what.

Do your job, it's different, it's a good price. I recommend it. Buy it. you will like it BUT. You need to know that the ice cube is not really square (I'll try to send a picture later). If you pour water in it and it freezes, the bottom part will get bigger (it's hard to explain with words, sorry). My point is that the top freezes first, so the "ice cube" expands the bottom. The finished ice cube will be larger than 2.5 inches.

I was skeptical. I've bought other large/round ice cube trays in the past and they were so painful to use that I eventually stopped using them. I tried it after reading some positive reviews. You were right. It is well made, durable yet pliable silicone and very easy to fill. Once frozen, the cubes pop out surprisingly easily, probably because the silicone is thick enough to hold its shape yet flexible enough to be easily manipulated to pop out the frozen cube. I'm a bit of an ice cream addict. I tend to walk through a lot of ice, about 3.5 pounds of ice a day. If ice is floating in my drink, it means there isn't enough ice in it!
