There were several reasons I picked this motherboard, but here's the most compelling one: the plethora of RGB headers and customization options. It has 2 of the 3-pin 5V addressable RGB connectors, one on the top and one on the bottom. This works well with most of today's popular addressable RGB fans, each individual LED can be manipulated. Near the bottom 5V is a 5-pin RGBW header for strips with an additional warm white LED. In addition, there is a 12V 4-pin RGB connector for standard 12V…

  • Fingers crossed

Sometimes saving $5 isn't worth it

Pros: I like the Gigabyte BiosDual BiosM.2 heatsink which isn't junk. 16 threads multitasking with LOW loading (e.g. without adding direct airflow through the worst VRM I've ever had, had the misfortune to expect lots of blue screens, hard locks and black screens that you can't get out of by typing hold down the power button to turn it off) When I say "low stress" I mean that if you only have Excel and Photoshop open at the same time, or you're just editing photos in Photoshop, there's a good…

RECOMMENDED Motherboard for Ryzen Micro Atx Build

Update: 05/30/2019 Motherboard lost a star due to the following: dual gpus + nvme x4 ssd did not boot into Windows on the latest BIOS update F40 + ec which was after the upgrade from GPU to Vega 56, RAM to 32GB 16x2 3200MHz and PSU to 1050W 80 Gold plus 2nd GPU Quadro K4000 it worked great. After installing the NVME hard drive I had this problem as my system wouldn't finish booting into Windows so I contacted Gigabyte Tech Support and they wanted me to downgrade the BIOS back to F5 which is not

Read the manual carefully.

I've built dozens of computers but this was my first AMD build. The onboard display bothered me the most. I tried dozens of things, finally gave up and decided to return the Revain motherboard. I read dozens of reviews and literally stumbled across the "tribal lore" that says on-board displays only work with certain processors. This "big" thing was rated by a very small line in the manual. Not even a line but a note at the bottom of the page. It was not clear even then that without a processor…
