Nightmare experience

Installing this card was a brutal process and resulted in 6 blue screen of death crashes in 5 days! I installed this card and Windows was able to run it at 1920x1080. Not great, but good enough to install the driver. The CD seemed to have a driver, but it was just an installer. Okay, ok, he'll get me a driver from the internet. Well he downloaded 113MB of "something" but it wasn't a driver. No, it was a program that insisted I create an account to get the driver. Oh, and there was a captchaโ€ฆ

Great card at a great price/Overclocking+

I replaced my GTX 1060 3GB with a Gigabyte GTX 1660 TI 6GB which is a great card and brand. I can overclock it and get a 2000Hz core clock from its 1800Hz. This card pushes its overclock in a way I've never seen before. For a mid-range card under $300 with taxes, you can't beat it. Yes, RTX cards are great, but not many games support ray tracing, and the others that offer it, plus $70 plus tax, cost about $100 more. So paying a little over $290 with taxes is smarter than paying almost $400โ€ฆ

  • Good product for the price

Great solution for internals

damn good card for the money, but now that the "super" models are out I would advise grabbing them. A lot more bang for your buck for a slightly higher price. If that's all you can afford then it's a damn good card and my games look amazing. I can run most games in 1080p at at least 60 fps. However, more demanding games tend to drop to 50 (when looking at your roster), but I think it has more to do with optimization. Many really good looking games run well over 80 fps. Games that are wellโ€ฆ

Amazing video card for internals

I looked at the reviews on this video card, they said that it is better to skip it, what to take 2060, and I agree; However, if you are building a new system on a tight budget, you can't go wrong. I have 1060 3Gb and recently built a new computer for my wife and because of the budget I was considering going for 1060 6Gb but after some thought I went with this one, I'm very surprised with the performance! It doesn't get hot and you don't hear it at all. Their games always have about 30% more FPS

  • Always liked

Excellent gaming performance

I bought a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 Ti OC 6G on July 1st, 2020 last year. The graphics card works great as is. I tried some overclock settings but got a blue screen of death if I moved the sliders too far. I just slightly overclocked with GPU Boost set to 2004 and Memory Clock set to 13060, GPU Voltage +39. It's stable. I have some games that run very smoothly at the maximum resolution of 1920x1080, such as Monster Hunter World. It didn't work that well in Mech Warrior 5 Mercenaries. I have to

Pros
  • Windforce 2x fan cooling system
Cons
  • boring packaging

The silicon lottery is a win!

Smooth gaming! You don't need the most expensive card model to be great! However, I did feel a crunch during my build, so I looked for a cheap 1660ti. Gigabyte Gv-N166TOC-6GD fully met this need! This model only has 1 heatpipe on the radiator, but that's ok! I was playing Overwatch at 140fps 62-66c and 65% fan speed at Epic settings on a 2560x1080 monitor paired with an i5 3570k (still waiting for a new CPU and NVME SSD). I must have won the silicon lottery because straight from theโ€ฆ
