Type of review

When I put it in the hot swap drive bay of a PC, it doesn't connect when the door is closed. I have to poke it with a small screwdriver before closing the drive bay door. So I compared it to my other SSDs and found that these drives are a bit shorter than all my other SSDs. No problem if you install it in a semi-permanent slot in the computer. I'm considering cutting a strip of the CD and sticking it to the back of the SSD. This should help. I use them to backup my operating system in case I…

Easy to install, that's all

This SSD was easy to install and that's the only good thing. Passed Crystal Mark benchmarks and read and write speeds are well under 550MB read/500MB write. I always read 284MB / 268MB wrote. This is due to several tests. Disk returned. Also, I noticed that my previous review was never displayed. Try something different, preferably something from a well-known brand.

Installs easily as a macOS boot drive.

Bought this drive for a 21.5" iMac from mid 2011. I first put the SSD in an external FW800/USB 2.0 enclosure and used the Apple Disk Utility with the FW800 to get the GUID (Mac Journaled) and within seconds the SSD was ready for a fresh install of High Sierra 10.13.6 The macOS installation took about 20 minutes from the FW800 Bootes well as a bootdisk from both Firewire 800 and also from USB 2.0 connections.Have then done all the updates to High Sierra with no problems.Install the SSD in the…
