Not entirely sure if MFR compares the weight of their fabric or what size chart they compare them to but I bought 4 shirts. / 2 packs and out of the bag they are smaller than a regular long sleeve t-shirt or sweatshirt of the same size and the material is thin enough to be seen well (d skin visible underneath). This is the first Gildan shirt I've bought that has been made as thin as possible. Don't buy this. You will be disappointed if you are looking for a durable ultra cotton Gildan shirt while saving your money. I wish I had read the reviews before buying this because it would have saved me time and is so disappointing because now I have to wait to return it and then buy another. I will always buy Gildan but this time and every time I will read the reviews.

The problem was the length of the shirt. While the sleeves remained the perfect length, for some reason the length of the body was reduced quite a bit, causing the shirt to be short for comfort (it sits above the waist and doesn't tuck in at all). Still, we found a use, they were delegated to the PJ Tops and overslept.

These shirts are advertised as heavy and I assumed that was referring to the material. I can literally see through these shirts and watch TV. I bought these because I used to have Gildan t shirts and they have lasted me for many years. After this purchase I doubt I will ever buy from them again. These t-shirts are nothing but long-sleeved summer t-shirts.

These guild tees are true to size and will not shrink in the wash. Only downside is they are thin as others have mentioned but they are perfect for chilly days when hoodies are too much. The labels are also annoying so I cut them off.
