Stay Away Scratching Posts

This product will destroy painted surfaces and I absolutely do not recommend using it. This product should be removed from Revain as it ruined the finish on my front door.

Not effective Ideal for cats

Use this door guard to prevent a dog from scratching our wooden door. It is advertised as puncture proof and durable. No, that is not so. Our little 7 month old dog made a hole as soon as he was at the door. Do not buy.

Removes paint on cats

When the sheet was glued to the door it wasn't quite in the right position so I carefully lifted it and removed all the paint from the door. So I had no choice but to put it back in the wrong position so that the paint peeling off the panel wasn't as noticeable on the door. Very disappointed with it. I bought it to protect the paint and the paint peeled off after a few seconds.

It MAY peel off the surface

I put this on painted, unpainted doors. The surface is old and when I took it off to reposition it there were some small surface imperfections on the film so it probably happens on older surfaces. I will say that I can easily remove and rearrange the film, but my 8 pound Yorkie cannot remove them. The foil is thick enough that it does not bend, fold or pucker. Piece of crap and was destroyed within 1 hour

I have never written a review but I am so pissed off I have to say how awful this product is! I received this item today and eagerly installed it to protect my door from separation anxiety from my dog. Installation was easy but I was concerned as the parts came off so easily. After the pieces were securely taped to the door, I left the house for no more than an hour and returned when 2 of the 3 "protective strips" were completely torn from the door and the paintwork on my door was scratched…

You cannot remove the protective film from the door without removing a stain from the door!

I really like that the door guard is not visible on the door. I really like that it's easy to trim to fit the small area of the door my dog is scratching to enter the room. I found it difficult to put the protective film in the right place and had to take it off several times to change position and each time it ripped off some of the wood and stain which made me very upset because the advert said it was easily removed and will not remove paint or wood. I didn't want to pull it out again, so…
