The safest, most accurate way to cut seam allowances

These scissors are incredibly useful in tight spots where you need to trim, but you need to be careful not to accidentally cut the finished garment. Before I had these scissors I accidentally cut two garments I had just finished trimming the seam allowances - after hours and hours of sewing it was a nightmare. It hasn't happened, and it hasn't even come close since I've had these scissors.

Too heavy and uncomfortable for delicate use

These scissors are a bit heavier than I expected. For my purposes, the weight of these ginghers makes maneuvering difficult and uncomfortable on the fingers. When I ordered them I expected them to be small and light enough to cut light fabrics but they are not. They're great for trimming medium to heavy fabrics like wool, but I don't think they're great for lingerie and embroidery. I use them now, but they really aren't ideal for delicate applications. In addition, the scissors are of good…

Very good scissors for machine applications!

I just LOVE these scissors; they simplify machine application considerably. No more cutting back fabric when trimming designs. They're a bit bulky for me sometimes, but only because my machine doesn't have a big shackle. They come in smaller sizes (4 inches I think) and I would recommend them if your machine has a smaller hoop - for example 4 inches x 4 inches. I love them though and just use the tiny scissors that come with them. my hard to reach machine Recommend Gingher brand appliqué…

  • Ideal for appliqué and carpet making

Convenient, easy to use and ginger hot!

Gingher are once again the best pair of scissors I have ever owned. I sew a lot of face masks now and was concerned that fine threads that weren't cut cleanly might irritate people's faces. Most of the time I have to cut carefully and repeatedly to get the cut close to the fabric without accidentally cutting into the fabric. These duckbill scissors are perfect! It cuts cleanly to the edge of the fabric like no other pair of scissors I've ever used! My sewing looks way more professional than I…

Pros
  • Razor shaped blades provide controlled cuts close to the seam

DUCKED CROPS ARE ERGONOMIC NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL!

I like trapunto shears. I only wish the company would make the grips (where the fingers go in) a padded surface. I have small hands, but even with small hands, I cannot use these scissors for a long time without red spots on my fingers accompanied by pain. I tried putting on gloves but there wasn't enough room for fingers and gloves. Those were cheap scissors. I think the manufacturer should recall and replace all duckbill shears for their customers in free exchange. It doesn't take much. I…
