Scissors to give to your kids

My mother used these fabric scissors 15 years of my life. As a child, I used to watch her mend dresses with this pair. I bought one about a month ago and they still cut just like the old ones. Smooth and comfortable, I would recommend them to everyone.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Compatibility

Light and comfortable

Bought these to replace a pair my husband left under the house when he was cutting up a sheet of plastic. They've always been my favorite pair for most of my sewing projects so I was glad to get a new pair. They are excellent for cutting cotton and sheer fabrics. They are light and do not tire the hand.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Some bugs

I have strong hands so that was a disappointment. They came back

I bought these after using a friend's pair for quilting. They came out of the hull and were very difficult to use. Although light, the opening and closing motion was so tight that I didn't even want to try to cut fabric with it. I have strong hands so that was a disappointment. They returned immediately. I am very satisfied with my suspended Fiscars.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Great price

Without a doubt the best scissors I have ever owned or used.

I bought the same pair of scissors as Gingher Snaps in 1981 or 1982. I've used the same pair literally thousands of times over 40 years, cutting through paper, hair and even plastic. You never get bored! I was happy to know they are still available today so I bought another pair for convenience. Serious. The same scissors have been used every day for 40 years and are still sharp even without sharpening! Five stars is not high enough. They are amazing and don't need their lifetime warranty…

I had a pair of nice, heavy 8 inch Gingher tailor's scissors.

I had a nice, heavy 8 inch Gingher tailor's scissors and loved them. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost it, or my mother-in-law took it with her without asking and didn't send it back. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new pair because I'm still hoping for my heavy ones to come back so I bought them and a half spare. They work well for what I used them for, but I had some issues with the heavier material that I didn't have with the heavier pair. I will only use them on light to medium…

I'm addicted to these scissors. I need to keep them on my Revain list so I can order them when needed. I have these sewing scissors and kept one in the kitchen because it was a few years old and I didn't feel like sharpening it and it's still popular in the kitchen for the past few years. I gave these scissors to our preschool teachers to cut laminated products. These scissors cut well. I keep three pairs just for fabric so I don't dull them but use these scissors for whatever I need. They cut…

Scissors for people with arthritis problems and more!

These featherweight scissors have become my lifeline. I had been sewing since I was 8 years old, using tailor's scissors and sharpening them as needed, until I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my late forties. I could lift metal shears, but because of their weight, it was impossible to control them. Concerned that I couldn't sew anymore, I went to the local fabric store. I tried these scissors when I saw them. They were so light I could easily pick them up and control the scissors! I…
