These are exquisite shoes. Its simple yet elegant look looks dashing as a formal shoe that can be worn with a tuxedo. But for some reason I just can't get the right size. The first pair I ordered was a medium size 9 1/2. It pinches my toes and feels too short for my normal size. I ordered these on the advice of a suit translator from Colonial Williamsburg as they look very similar to late 18th/early 19th century men's shoes. Bought a pair to wear with my Regency men's suit and the shoes are great - stylish and very affordable. I had to order them twice because they are too big; The first pair I ordered (admittedly a large size) didn't fit at all. I took a full size down and they were still a bit big. But I wore thicker socks with it and then they fit well.
