This is changing the way I ride my bike. No more fumbling with straps and bungee. Open, fill up, lock and hit the road. At the destination, my helmet and jacket fit in, saving me from lugging around my gear. I can put some groceries in it too! It is very easy to attach the stand and easy to remove. Locking and unlocking is also very easy.

I was afraid it would be too big but it isn't. I don't like carrying baskets around town and this works great even for winter jackets, helmets, duffel bags and shoes and if you end up picking up things you weren't expecting. It even has a couple of loops where I use the net to hold the racquet on top of the trunk and you can still open the trunk. It's very light when empty and doesn't bother. I received the Givi back and mounting plate. I'm glad I got it for my 1200 gsw.

I have never used a GIVI product so I hesitated to order it. The price seemed too good to be true. The case has arrived and I am pleased to report that it is well assembled and easily attaches to the monokey mount. It looks great on the bike and has more value than the OEM case. One thing GIVI can do to make adding a backrest easier is the location of the holes in the flange on the lid. They do this for the extra top rack but not the back.

I was not impressed by the locking mechanism: almost all parts are plastic. The only part that is made of metal seems to be the cylinder. In addition, the suitcase is very comfortable and relatively low for such a large capacity. I ended up returning it and bought a 58L Trekker Outback GIVI OBK58A instead. A little more expensive, but much more reliable. The first two photos attached show this cover on a V-Strom 1000, the third shows a 58L Trekker Outback on the same bike.

Great product. Fits perfectly into my existing MONOKEY base plate. I have 2L modular helmets with aftermarket BT communications and they both fit in one box. Just a little "Tetris" to make it work. With only one helmet you have enough space for a jacket. FYI, many Givi boxes have an integrated document holder on the inside of the lid. It is not. That's not a problem for me, but if something like this doesn't suit you, look for a different prefix.
