Get rid of squirrels in our LOFT!

A few months ago I heard a knock from the attic. Surely it was squirrels. We're on a tight budget, so we didn't want to hire a fighter. Other squirrel repellers using ultrasonic technology had to be plugged in and as we don't have outlets in the attic we decided to try this one. We installed it a few weeks ago and after about a week and a half/weeks we haven't heard or seen any more squirrel activity in our attic! Mice Attracted: Household Goods

Noticing the junk, we bought appliances. We thought the field mice snuck into the garage to get water under the washing machine. So we put the devices in the garage. Two days later we saw a mouse walking around the garage. He ran right past the device! Didn't take care of everything. We set traps and last week caught 3 mice with the device using clicker traps. My husband's theory is that they were most likely interested in the sound, not put off by it. Needless to say we have returned the item.

I thought this would be the best spot as it is closest to the roof. But out of curiosity - just to see how far its repellent can penetrate - I placed it in the top corner of my wall…
