Ugly, yes, but Glerups are the best slippers you've ever bought: your feet are as comfortable as possible, warm, don't sweat and don't stretch like flip flops (I'm looking at you, ugg) We've had several pairs over the years, leather soles (which are fine too), boot style etc, but this style with that *specific* rubber sole was the top choice here at PNW. Beautiful double thickness wool felt, soft melange blue and so cozy I really wish they were true to size. But they were too wide for my narrow feet, wider even than the Haflinger grizzlies. Even downsizing didn't help. The rubber outsole bothers me. Good quality but with rounded bottom edges and a bit porous so it doesn't have the strong stable backing of Haflinger cork. Good for you young folks, but less safe for old timers like me. Small arch support I could find. But I would easily miss it…
