Soft focus problem with Sony FDR-AX43

Hello, I bought this teleprompter a few months ago and overall I am very satisfied with it, very good value for money, except for the case I read before had buy. I always use it in the same room and don't have to lug it around, so a suitcase isn't a problem for me. I'm using it with a Sony FDR-AX43 camcorder and I'm having some issues with blur when shooting through the teleprompter glass. At first I thought it was a camcorder problem, but then I tried shooting without a teleprompter, from the…

Works as advertised but poor body quality

Overall this works as advertised and is about what you would expect for the price. It worked well with my Canon XF100 and my DSLR. The camera mount is not height adjustable, so it either fits your camera or it doesn't. My two main complaints were with the design of the clips that hold the tablet and the quality of the case. The clips don't provide enough support for the tablet and don't keep it flush with the glass. Thing is tricky. It doesn't close tightly due to the thinness of the plastic…

Works as it should some small things could be improved

I bought this teleprompter knowing its limitations but thought I could get it working for my camera which I have and it has our production definitely helped. As I set everything up, I noticed a few small details that could be improved: the zippers that close the curtain could be of better quality, especially for those who often have to pack everything on the go; I can see that it will break over time, but for us I'll leave it assembled in our studio. Maybe use velcro instead? - The tripod mount

Large Versatile Valuable Teleprompter

So good we bought two! This mid-range teleprompter is not entirely unproblematic, but it is very valuable and extremely versatile. PROS: - Large glass - Rigid body - Flexibility of camera and device mount options - Great accessory for attaching more tools - Easier to balance (if you need it) than most stationary teleprompters CONS: - Body is just plain bad; throwing it away and packing the item is something else (note that the box *has* some pins to secure it and keep the fragile plastic in…

Great tool to stay on track!

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of the teleprompter. All are cast or machined aluminum. It was easy to assemble and set up on a tripod. Make sure you have a sturdy tripod so your videos don't shake. I use a Canon XA10 camcorder mounted on it with a Sennheiser wireless microphone connected to the XLR input to record video. I also use my iPad with the PromptSmartPro teleprompter app. I also shoot in front of a green screen. All in all, this system is great for…
