For some reason the bad reviews from 3 years ago pop up when I look at this product but I'm here to tell you this is a good solid buy! Is it possible to buy a higher quality lamp? SECURE. This is an exceptional value. The only problem for some may be that the base of the clip can break. They are notorious for breaking because most of them are made of very brittle metal. However this is not a problem for me as I use it as a workbench in my shop and only made a hole in the bench to put the rack in. In other words, I don't use a clamp base. This lamp is well made and easy to adjust. Functionally, it outperforms any table lamp that just sits on a table, unless you're worried about decoration. The lampshade is large enough to cover a standard LED light bulb. If you buy a lamp with a shade that is too small, you will regret it. I ordered this lamp and got another one. The one pictured in the ad has a straight corner shade and the one I received has a curved shade. Another reviewer stated that he "don't really care" but I specifically ordered this lamp for straight edges and curved ones are really ugly in my opinion. This is just a form of false advertising, the seller is selling something other than what they advertise and people agree! funny I think. Except for the deformed lampshade, the construction is rather poor.
