A little tricky but works great

Very happy it works with my Canon M50. At first I didn't know about the little rubber hole to make it work. The camera only works when the battery cover is closed. You need to put a fake battery there and close the lid. Then open this small rubber stopper on the closed lid and plug in the adapter there. Then it works. Attached is a photo of what it looks like. It also has a nice long cord.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad

Works well just find the hidden flap

This canon m50 power supply worked very well! Little did I know there was a hidden flap covering the hole where you plug the DC adapter into the included battery adapter so I contacted the seller. He was quick to reply with detailed photos on how to access it and it worked like a charm. Now I no longer need batteries when shooting with the Canon M50 in my studio. Thanks for a great product. The cable is quite long and feels durable.

Pros
  • Easy install

Battery Life Issue "SOLVED "

Canon M50 battery life issue "SOLVED". Ever since we moved into Skype/Zoom meetings due to Covid-19, we've wanted to expand our online presence. I used my Canon M50 as a webcam. The quality of my webcam is way better than any other member of my team, but meetings should be short. I can probably get 75 minutes of live video before I have to change the battery or switch to my laptop. With that continuous battery, I'm ready to work more accurately no matter how long the meetings last.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Some issues

This type of adapter should not exist

This adapter works perfectly. I just got it, plugged it in and it works. I haven't encountered any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, but if I do I'll update the information. Now for my disappointment with Canon. Canon, why don't you connect your cameras to a regular power plug? Especially since many of them are used for video blogging today? We shouldn't have those weird configurations where we have to plug in a fake battery and then pull the slider out of the cap to plug in the cable…

too unreliable don't bother with returns

Just get an official Canon product. It didn't work at all for me on my Canon EOS M50. I connected it through the valve with the lid closed as clearly stated in the instructions. Regardless of the product itself and more so the seller, they were kind enough to send me a replacement product but the email trail was dead and I didn't receive any product. It may still be on the way but in the end it wasn't worth all the hassle of explaining that I'm assembling the thing correctly etc. I ended up…

Great power adapter for Canon EOS M and M50 mirrorless cameras

HIGHLY recommended for anyone wanting to record more than a few minutes of video or use the camera as a webcam!+ Modular design, but that also means all cables and adapters must be plugged in + dummy battery fits easily in the camera + AC adapter (switching transformer) gets a little warm At first I couldn't believe there was a way to connect the DC cable to the dummy battery when the camera is still on mounted on a tripod. Canon's door design is really thoughtful: lift the rubber plug to…

Pros
  • Decent performance

We use Glorich adapters and they work very well - we use them on the Canon 60D and 80D! I copied the following information from Glorich on how to use the adapter with the Canon M50 mirrorless camera. This is very helpful as it is a bit tricky to attach to this camera. We bought this adapter in the first place because our camera salesman promised to have it tested on the Canon M50 before buying the camera, but unfortunately we couldn't get it to work. So - we didn't buy a Canon M50 - we are…
