Arrived so quickly: sensors

I need to find a place to put this on my truck. The upper radiator hose doesn't have much room to install, but it sucks to get it working.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good product to install built-in sensor.

I had to add a sensor to control the cooling fans. However, I had to drill a hole for the sensor and tap the threads to install the standard water sensor.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Great hose insert at water temp

If you just want temp readings for a gauge this is perfect, the little temp gauge screws in nicely. However if you want to use it for a temperature switch you will need to drill a larger hole and tap the correct threads.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Very expensive

Made it Happen for Water Temperature

This is good quality and a good price. I recommend that the seller/Revain state in the product description that this is ONLY for installing an electric pressure gauge as it should have a 1/2 NPT outlet and not the 1/8 NPT that came with it. while it works fine.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quality

Get ready to change threads with a tap and die.

Bought this and a 38mm case to replace two iron cases on a Grand Cherokee 5.9. I've tried threading in my 1/8th precision temp sensors and both only screw on 3 threads. It appears to have been cut for either straight threads or straight threads, whereas most gauges (my application anyway) have tapered threads. Get ready to mod with a tap and a dice for whoever wants to buy them. I'm not the first to mention this issue, Glowshift would be smart to address this otherwise great product.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No

Great product arrived early and was what it said it was

Worked as it should. Easy to install good product. The only problem I had was that the sensor wasn't reading properly. As many know, this is usually a mass problem. Tried removing the teflon tape from the sensor and straightening it out more, tried grounding it but no luck. When I connected the sensor to ground it worked so I connected a permanent ground from the sensor to the battery and now it works fine and exactly as I tested with a heat gun. I've spent a lot of time getting it to workโ€ฆ

  • New

Not very happy with water temperature

1) Poor quality control. The sensor hole was drilled at a slight angle so the sensor does not screw in completely flush with the surface. 2) Obviously only made for a two wire sensor. My transmitter only has one wire, so I had to drill about 3/8" into the top and cut a hole for an #8-32 mounting screw to place the ground wire on the unit. 3) The paint was on the inside of the sensor. a hole in the transducer to prevent metal-to-metal contact between the transducer and the block, which isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Some problems
