This is the light I've been waiting for

Having and using the StreakLight 360 and AD600Pro I have to say that this light is in the Goldilocks zone. Perfect! Not too small, not too big, just right. I don't have to deal with all the external parts of the StreakLight 360, and I don't have to deal with the added weight of the AD600Pro. Strength? More than enough power for my needs. With the right technique, you can beat the sun if you have to. This is the light I've been waiting for.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expandable

ideal light? in lighting

The performance is enough, but I can use it 95%. The very versatile LED modeling light is very handy and easy to turn off with the Xpro remote control. Modifiers are easy to find and very affordable. The mount can be patented by either Godox or Bowens and you can swap them out very quickly. For field work I think this is my favorite light. I use PCB Einsteins in my studio, they don't travel well. This light spreads great! I highly recommend the AD400PRO.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

I set the camera on an interval to record every 3 seconds after about 89 clicks, the restart started to slow down and finally took about 10-13 seconds, the temperature light came on and I turned it off... you can see the progress in the still image. With a recharge time of less than 1 second I think this is easy to accomplish, I need consistent power on every exposure for the advertised recharge time of less than 1 second and 390 full power flashes.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Expensive

Stupid trigger must be used!

The perfect flash for real estate photography with a touch of style. The control is amazing and you can really increase it in 0.1 stop increments. Enough power to work in the sun. The only issue was a known issue where the correct trigger for your camera causes the flash to shift towards yellow. I have Panasonic and Canon cameras and each has a trigger, so I just put a Pany trigger on a Canon and reverse it and turn it into a dumb trigger. It works but there is no remote control for settings…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Amazing light - great value and opportunity!

I'm in the process of replacing my Bowens lighting kit with something lighter and more portable as I do a lot of on location photo shoots and am tired of lugging around heavy monolights + batteries. I've already bought two AD200Pro, they are great but wanted to add something more powerful so I can overwhelm the sun from a longer distance. I can't believe how compact and powerful this flash is! My old flashes also didn't have TTL and HSS meaning it will make my life a lot easier and add a lot…

Pros

Cons
  • not reliable

Good portable strobe

After reading the reviews I bought this strobe for both studio work and on the road. At first I thought it might not be powerful enough compared to the D500 ProFoto all-in-ones, but while it's labeled 400W, its guide number is actually closer to 500W flashes. All the technical details can be found on the Godox website, so I won't go into that here. The only point I wanted to make is that I did color temperature tests with a Datacolor Spydercube at 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 power and I found the flash up

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No instructions

My new favorite flash

I was very happy to get the AD400 Pro as I liked using the original AD600BM and the Pro seemed like a very good upgrade. I didn't really need the full power of the 600 and heard the 400 was almost as bright as the original AD600 so I went with this one and took advantage of the smaller size, the included carrying case and the interchangeable bracket. out of the box I'm really glad I have the tote, it just makes it so much easier. I'm also glad that after switching to the Bowens mount…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing
