Worked great: Lighting

Worked exactly as expected. The lamps were easy to install and the strobes were easy to assemble. Gave twice the light with just one mount.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine

love this shop. - Lighting and Studio

I have 2 and 2 AD200. I like the modeling light and middle bulb for single use and when I want to turn on 2 bulbs. This is a must have for any AD200 owner for a bare lamp.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good mount; Well done

Works perfectly with my Wescott Duo Octa. However, you may need a rubber washer to prevent it from shifting due to the weight of two AD200 Pros on the Wescott mount rail.

  • Impressive

Amazing for a versatile portable light.

It's amazing what Godox has done. They created a way to turn two AD200s into a monoblock. It has power, modeling light and a built in Bowen S mount. I would give it 5 stars if it came with a dome cover to protect the bulbs in transit.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • For old

Good way to add flexibility

I use the Explor 600 and Explor 200 flashes (Adorama's version of Godox Light) for outdoor shots. This offers the perfect balance between weight and performance. Adding an extension cord and placing the main unit on the stand underneath greatly improves stability. highlighted.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Some little things

Revainrating 2 out of 5

If you have 2 AD200 this is not a problem.

I would give this item 5 stars but I had to get 2 defective units from another seller before I finally got a fully working unit. They do what they have to do. LED modeling lights are bright, but the effect is reduced by any modifiers that scatter the light heavily. The only improvement would be that the drawbar can rotate without actually rotating like the Godox S-Type mount.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • So far so good

Good way to add flexibility

I use Explor 600 and Explor 200 (Adorama's version of Godox lights). 600s are heavy for outdoor work, and a 200 can be weak for bright outdoor shots. This offers the perfect balance between weight and performance. Adding an extension cord and placing the main unit on the stand underneath greatly improves stability. highlighted.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Expensive

Outstanding light. Terrible bracket. Too small for a clothespin.

I was happy to be able to combine my AD200 lights and get more power. I'm also glad that I finally have a naked bulb modeling lamp. As a lighting product, it works great. Unfortunately, the mount itself leaves a lot to be desired. The tilt mechanism is an old click-adjust variant with a simple locking mechanism that usually hits the softbox. The S2 mount (see last photo) has a nice adjustable lever friction lock that you can rotate to get the best leverage and avoid hitting your modifier. Itโ€ฆ
