These modifiers are not designed for permanent or quick assembly/disassembly. They also wear out badly every time you pull the bars out of the pockets they sit in. If you plan on keeping these modifiers assembled, like in the studio, and not taking them anywhere, then these are fine. Otherwise, it's better to use the proprietary Glow EZ modifier.

No instructions, you need to figure out which holes in bowen ring to use, trying out was difficult and tedious but like Only I assembled the first one correctly, the second one was much easier. The correct openings in a Bowen ring for this particular softbox are 1:2 and 1:3. I have used it on a full size person and for product photography it is durable, the honeycomb mesh is imperative to avoid light leakage and it is better to focus the light on the object.

The main problem with all striped boxes is fitting the damn metal into the bracket. That's not the manufacturer's fault, it's how these strip boxes are supposed to be made. But they work perfectly once they're in place. It is possible to fold down both diffusers and the egg crate. But again, you'll need some muscle to get all four bars into the storage box. It is said that the larger the softbox, the softer the light. It may be true, but I wonder to what extent. If your light shines straight out of the screen through a thin soft sheet (or 2) in the center, it's still pretty sharp. What I ended up getting are small softboxes on ebay but they have a soft sheet that also has an even thicker center circle to spread the light better.
