Disappointed, but it "works ". Kind of like

so I have a 6ft umbrella softbox and wanted to be able to fill it with some serious software that uses flashes instead of a flash since my entire business is mobility based. Initially, the headlight screwdriver design was annoying, but I can forgive that. It's cheap, so I don't expect it to win any engineering awards. What really annoyed me is that this doesn't work with my flashes (Altura AP305S) as there isn't much clearance between the hot shoe plate and the flash itself. So I don't know why

Hmmm definitely not generic

As mentioned, nowhere in the product description does it say anything about compatibility with a specific brand or not and my 3rd party Nikon flashes suitable for this definitely don't fit this thing without some then some serious ones plastic loops. I have two Godox flashes that will be arriving in a few days so this might have some value and I might keep it for them (or maybe not) but I certainly won't be ordering another one as originally planned and is very upset that it is not mentioned…

Couldn't be happier!

Works better than expected. I converted an old Paul C Buff 30 x 60 inch softbox from a Balcar mount to Bowens using: Speed Ring Adapter Softbox Speedring Softbox for Bowens S Flash/Monolight. I then attached it to my stand with: Godox S-Type Bracket Bowens Mount Holder for Speedlite Flash Snoot Softbox Honeycomb. Finally I installed 4 Yongnuo yn560-iii flashes on this thing and. Hot Dan! 2 from Yongnuo corresponds to the performance I got from my studio flash (320WS). Of course, 4 gives me an…

GENERAL AND NECESSARY MODIFICATION TO WORK WITH GODOX 685s FLASH

I have 4 Godox 685s (Sony version) and they do not fit. The tops of the slots where the hot shoe is to be inserted are too thick. I mean the part that goes on the hot shoe. With the Godox 685s flash, the area between the top of the shoe and the bottom of the flash is narrow. Therefore, you cannot insert a flash into the slot. I had to sand the top of the mount so the area was thin enough to slide between the top of the shoe and the bottom of the flash. After I did that, the problem was solved…

Well designed and well constructed

I didn't have any of the problems described in other reviews. The cold shoes fit my Yongnuo 560 IV very well. I found the clearance provided when connecting to the S mount which in turn attached to the Bowens mount was quite satisfactory so I used the flashes fully seated in the cold shoes and tightened the flash ring for a secure fit (contrary to the previous reviewer's report). The swivel handle on the adapter provides additional security. I wouldn't believe it alone, but in combination with…

Not sure if this is good to use in flash accessories

I have tried this adapter with a Canon 430 EX II and 2 Yongnuo 600EX RT-II, the problem is that 4 cold shoes are far from a perfect copy on the camera are removed. Yes, your flash's hot shoe slides in, but you can't move the lock wheel inside the flash, it only moves halfway, it doesn't reach the lock position. This can be for Godox or Neewer. flash. I thought all hotshoes were the same, but it turns out that Canon (and also Canon's Yongnuo models, possibly Nikon's too) can differ slightly from
