For my particular setup, I needed this HDMI-over-Ethernet to traverse at least two switches. My basement is finished and I don't want to tear down the drywall. I have a main 16 port gigabit switch next to my router and I've run ethernet cables to each room but only to one line. If I have multiple devices that require Ethernet in the same location, I use small 8-port Gigabit switches. In my testing, the gofanco HDMI Over IP Extender worked flawlessly over a direct Ethernet connection and over a…

  • ✔ NETWORK DISTRIBUTION - Connect up to 30 receivers to one transmitter. One-to-one direct connect, one-to-many configuration via 1) unmanaged/dedicated gigabit switches, 2) intelligent gigabit switches with VLAN to separate video traffic from rest of LAN. Many-to-many configuration is also supported through VLAN settings. Note that each VLAN can only support 1 transmitter (TX). Fake 60p at 1080

First, I'm from Argentina , South America Well, maybe my English isn't perfect. There are several brands of these HDbitT extenders, mostly called LKV383, and a PRO model that adds an HDMI output on the transmitter side. They work pretty well, even with an inexpensive point-to-point wireless bridge over a mile away. with one of these extensions on each side of the antenna. BUT, beware, every LKV383 device has the same problem, 720p and 1080i work like a charm, the compression is almost…

Easy setup in DVI-HDMI adapters

First I would like to state that this works as intended. Setup is very easy and the devices have low power consumption. I use these devices to connect my NVR in my wiring closet to my bedroom TV's HDMI port. When I knock on the door, I just press a button on the remote control to see who is at the door. This device uses HDbitT multicast to send information to the recipient(s). Due to the amount of multicast traffic this device generates, I do not recommend using it with a network switch that…

Pros
  • ✔ LOOPOUT HDMI - The HDMI transmitter is equipped with a 2-port HDMI splitter; Optional HDMI output on transmitter for connection to a local surveillance display. Supports IR extension so the source device can recognize remote control commands
