I like these. They are more of a slate gray than the dark grey/black I was expecting. But they still look good with my dark brown furniture and light brown tables. Others have mentioned they arrived with chips, mine are fine. You can see some white lines mixed with gray but that adds character and doesn't look like a defect. It just looks like natural stone. These coasters had exactly the look I was looking for but were actually disappointing to use. The pads on the bottom aren't evenly spaced, so they wobble a bit when you put a drink on them. The slate itself is thinner than it looked in the pictures. But the rings are the worst! Any drink, including water, leaves a clearly visible mark on the board within a few minutes.
