The ironing board cover was long enough for a 50 inch ironing board. It was NOT wide enough for a 19" ironing board. So it doesn't fit all 54" ironing boards in my opinion.

Excellent fit! I hope this ironing board cover will last a long time! Made of dense fabric. Not pretty compared to others, but I don't care if it's pretty. Also, I know the color from this cover won't bleed through my fabric.

For quilts in particular, there's nothing like a pure cotton ironing board cover, and it's a Cadillac! Thick cotton with drawstring for working out, you won't find a better ironing board cover. Lay it on the thickest cotton or wool pad and you have the perfect ironing board for ironing and sewing!

Washed and left to air dry. It was a bit difficult to install as it was very rigid. But after some ironing it is a very good case. I used one of those teflon coated pads that stuck to clothes when ironed with hot steam. I put it over a teflon gasket and the installation works like a charm. Clothing does not stick, the rough texture of the "Golden Hands" cover is smoothed out.

I've been looking for a good quality cotton ironing board cover for a long time, preferably made in the USA. Here it is - from Golden Hands. It fits perfectly on my early 1960's ironing board (which is the standard 54″ size), even over the high-tech cover (and slippery, hence the need for a cotton cover) and minimal padding already on the board. -er and quilter, this cover works great with my old board and my new steam iron to get the results I want.

I love this ironing board cover! I use it on a wooden board, probably 75 years old, that I bought at a flea market. I wanted a second board for my sewing/quilting room. The lid fits my antique board perfectly as it has a cord that runs through the sheathing allowing for great adjustment. I like ironing cotton fabrics onto a cotton cover. Treated synthetics don't give off a bad smell and since it's such a heavy canvas I have a feeling it will last a long time. Very happy with this decision.
