Great idea, but the strings break almost effortlessly. Went through 3 strings to remove 1 emblem and I used a heat gun to soften the glue.

This is a very good tool for many applications. It's better if you take the molding with 3M tape, spray some tape and rubber remover, use the trim remover to break the seal spray on the surface, and then use the gomake tool to slightly edit the tape. comes off very well without damaging the body

Haven't even tried the supplied cord yet. Looks weak and fragile. I've had trouble removing the emblem before, so I know this cord will snap in an instant. But I need pens. These things are amazing! I love everything mechanical. Use spider wire (fishing line) or safety wire (don't laugh, it works). Just remember to use heat and be careful with paint.

This worked really well in combination with my heat gun. I used my heat gun for about 2 minutes on my original truck emblems which are about 6 years old. Dodge-Ram 2015 I replaced my chrome badges with all black ones to turn my truck into a "night edition". This product worked very quickly and got the job done. It's a little pricey but did a good job removing the emblems. In general very satisfied.
