Difficult to separate, difficult fit

I bought this separator for my 1989 Honda Hawk. Disconnecting it was almost as difficult as simply disconnecting the fuel line from the faucet. Admittedly, that's partly due to the Hawk's cramped build. Also, there were installation issues using the fuel filter, so I removed it from the bike.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Upgrade available

Fuel Line Quick Connector

The price seemed a bit high but they are easy to use and WON'T LEAK. Much better than plastic and easier to use than old fashioned outboard motor fuel tank fittings. Would recommend to anyone who needs a way to disconnect a fuel line without leaking even if you forgot to close the shutoff valve on the tank first.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • So So

Expensive but does what it's supposed to

Looks solid, makes removing the gas tank easy. The inner diameter seems a little tight, but as long as the fuel flows it's ok. I installed it with a 5.5mm fuel line and it seems very reliable. Sometimes it spits out some gas when parked, but not much. Otherwise I haven't noticed any leaks.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Protection

Expensive but worth it.

I've been using plastic quick connectors for years and have never found them to fit. satisfying. They're difficult to assemble, finicky, and feel cheap. On the other hand, it smells of quality. It's a solid feel, precise and very smooth and easy connection. You press the button and it disassembles and not a drop comes out. It's expensive, but it works great.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Low repairability

Female end leaks a bit when disconnected

Bought this to fit my Harley Road King Fuel crossover. As long as it is installed and connected with a small amount of gas in the tank, it has not leaked. However, when the lines are disconnected, I get drips of fuel from the female end. Especially if I shake it a little. Doesn't appear to be 100% tight. Right now I'm giving this one 4 stars and hope it seals better soon.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Much needed Crossover Line Fuel Tank Mod

I needed to make a set of handlebars for my 17 Softail Slim. Rather than draining the fuel every time I need to access what's behind the tank, I'll add that this is a must-have for anyone dealing with that stupid cut line. Although you will need to drain your fuel to complete this mod, it will save you tons of time and headaches later on. No hose clamps are supplied so make sure you have these to clamp the connections.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
