Description of Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 SUV 215/65 R17 99V

Excellent off-road performance with one set of tires. Road tires designed for off-road vehicles to travel at speeds up to 270 km/h. Built-in protection prevents discs from being damaged when they come into contact with the curb. The unique SmartTred system in off-road tires provides for the use of different tread zones depending on the road conditions. A large number of three-dimensional waffle sipes on the Vector 4Seasons SUV tires improve traction on snowy and icy roads. The snowflake symbol indicates that the tire meets the official winter tire standards.

I really liked the tread pattern. Changed to Goodyear ICE2, compare. Pros below: Excellent tires, skated 3.5 years more than 100 thousand km. with a sooooo wrong driving style)), handling in the St. Petersburg off-season is excellent, and in the snow, and rain, and on ice - so high, soft, excellent brakes, during all this time they have never changed shoes, only when they struck in a pit Bought another one, overall I'm happy!) Has cons: a little noisy, quickly erased in the heat (more than 25…

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

The car is an SUV Pathfinder r51. Taking into account the weight of the car (more than 2 tons), I was afraid that it would behave badly on ice. It turned out quite the opposite - it grabs perfectly. It is worth considering that in winter I don’t drive more than 130, then I won’t say about high speeds in winter. But in the summer and up to 160 everything is fine. It is convenient that now there is no need to change shoes and sudden snow does not take you by surprise. The only thing is that on…

Pros
  • For me, it is not noisy compared to Nokian on spikes. Holds the road well. I ride all year round and have no problems.
Cons
  • Small selection of radii. I could take a larger radius, but it is very difficult to find in stock.

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

"All-weather" tires Goodyear Vector 4 seasons GEN2 225/65/R17 (made in Germany) was chosen by me exclusively for the summer period + off-season until the establishment (descent) of a stable snow cover solely because it has at least some hint of tread depth. All modern summer tires remind me of "slicks" exclusively for driving on asphalt and, God forbid, I have to move into the mud, the "slicks" are washed out right there and no all-wheel drive will help, I'm not talking about mono drive. For…

Pros
  • - When balancing Goodyear Vector 4 seasons GEN-2 225/65/R17 (made in Germany) on forged wheels, the loads were from 20 to 60 grams per wheel, while in the untwisted state, the geometry of the rubber was assessed as ideal, which was also noted by tire workers. - the presence of a deep tread, it is not scary to move out onto a dirt road - it is steady against formation of hernias; - much more resistant to hydroplaning than the summer Matador Hectorra 3, with GEN-2, splashes do not fly onto the hood when driving through puddles, which cannot be said about the Matador Hectorra 3; - economical, but Matador Hectorra 3 was more economical, most likely due to the lack of a tread as such; - perfectly hold the road, do not feel the rut - low noise; - much better on snow than summer tires.
Cons
  • - Expensive; - on snow worse than good winter tires; - somewhat tougher than GEN-1; - less passable through mud than GEN-1; - more sensitive to hydroplaning than GEN-1;
