The new remote control is amazing. I think it's very good that you can control multiple cameras at the same time (hero and max in my case) and also switch them on. This allows me to run them when needed, which saves a lot of battery life. The watch also shows the modes you are in and the associated settings. I used them underwater and they still worked fine.

I love this thing. Connected to my Zx6r so I can turn my Hero 9 Black on and off and start recording so I don't run out of batteries when recording isn't needed. Sometimes you need to get it fixed, just make sure it works before hitting the road and you're good to go. I think the battery life is crazy. Charged once and used for about 5 hours and still 90 percent charged.

I mainly use it when the GoPro is mounted on the outside of the car or remotely. This device allows you to activate recording without physically pushing the GoPro and without using your phone to record. This is a simple button that won't distract you while driving and can be hidden. However, I wish it had more features like a preview screen, but for the battery life (which is long) it does the job.

I use this new remote with the Hero 9. I fly paramotors and the GoPro is mounted on top of my helmet. where there is no way to see or hear GoPro status. If I forget to turn on my GoPro, I can easily do so with the remote control, which is very convenient since I don't have to take my helmet off during the flight. ;) I found this new version to be much more responsive and just tell me if I'm recording. It was stable, much more reliable than the previous model I used with the GoPro 7.
