For use with aftermarket wheels ONLY

Excellent product with good workmanship. Unfortunately they did NOT fit my factory 2013 2013 F150 FX4 wheels. The seating area is much smaller. While they can certainly work, I value my security and want the nut to go all the way in the groove. Nothing wrong with the product itself, it's just that the app is listed in the description. I added photos for your review.

Locked to Tires and Wheels

If my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 had stock wheels stolen I figured I'd grab this kit to prevent my new wheels and tires from being stolen, well, at least slowly . I also took a set of Gorilla Automotive 66641 Duplex Acorn Gorilla Guard locks and used them in place of one of the security grommets, so now I have four extra security grommets and about ten extra minutes of work to get the wheel off.

Not quite the OEM Ford tapered design

They look good on my 2010 Expedition with stock wheels. They weigh about the same as the Original Equipment lug nuts and the chrome plating is thick to the touch. The only thing I didn't like about them and why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the conical seating area is about half the size of the standard nuts. I'll attach pictures of what I'm talking about when I can.

Great Gorilla Nuts!

This is a great idea that is well executed and looks and works much better than the standard F-150 jacket nuts. This is a definite improvement over the stock devices, and they have the key. Duplicate keys can be obtained online from Gorilla Automotive at low cost. You will need the key code that comes with your nuts. The keys work well with hand instruments or percussion. Aligning the key with the nut is very easy. Just spin it until it falls.

Much Safer - Nuts

Our shop was told to replace the factory nuts on our 2011 Ford F150 because they were swollen. Since this truck now belonged to my sons and was going from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania for school, we thought it best to replace the factory cleats. After a lot of research we found this out when trying to replace ourselves we found what others have complained about the aluminum cover on the factory cleats and after removing it from the two cleats we decided to fit it onto our Ford to return to dealer…
