Our shop was told to replace the factory nuts on our 2011 Ford F150 because they were swollen. Since this truck now belonged to my sons and was going from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania for school, we thought it best to replace the factory cleats. After a lot of research we found this out when trying to replace ourselves we found what others have complained about the aluminum cover on the factory cleats and after removing it from the two cleats we decided to fit it onto our Ford to return to dealer to see if they could solve them for us. My son took it back to Ford and not only did they take the old studs off and put new ones on, they didn't charge us either! It's great and now I don't have to worry about changing tires in the middle of nowhere!
