These guys could have a little argument. I know this because I had to use a hammer drill to screw in the wheel stud bolts. In any case, they are subjected to more stress than the tire during this process. Superficial damage when opened but otherwise held up to the challenge. There is still no data on rust as it was recently.

Unlike some of the Summit nuts I have received, these items are actually stainless steel. Even after a few years, they still look great on my Jeep. It was important to me to buy stainless nuts because they are visible on my Cragar Soft 8 wallpaper, like I said they still look good after all this time and I zip and unzip them regularly.

I bought these nuts thinking they were a piece that would replace crappy factory nuts that were falling apart. They are better made than factory nuts, but they are not one piece. After 2.5 years they begin to decay. I've already had a problem with one that required a hammer and some wrenches to remove. Now I buy new nuts.

After Goodyear rounded off the OEM nuts on my Magnum, I received them as recommended on LXForums.com. The only possible issues are: 1. The conical contact surface is a little smaller in diameter than the OEM nuts, raising concerns about proper clamping force, and 2. I need a second socket in the machine as they are a size smaller than OEM -nuts. no problem if corrected before the next apartment!

I don't usually leave reviews but after getting these things I have to say don't waste your money they aren't stainless steel nuts they are are stainless steel caps and the quality is terrible. They look great but when I went to put them on my car the caps came on 2 of the first 15 (I had to cut one out) so I didn't even open the last pack. Totally my fault for not reading the reviews first! As others have pointed out, this is NOT a solid piece of metal, but rather a cheap metal overlay for the base. I've had these case style grommets before, and others seem to have had this problem with the same grommets. They go back or straight into the trash. I feel like an idiot not realizing these aren't solid nuts. Sure, I'm guessing they'll look great, but right out of the box I have a feeling that the "pretty lid" on two of the four tabs…

These nuts look good on my RAM 1500 but not as good as the OEM nuts which have a smooth and flat top. The lifetime portion of the warranty is limited to rust and will not be damaged by repeated nut removal and installation, which I misunderstood. Repeated removal and replacement will damage the outer shell, making emergency release with the vehicle manufacturer's wrench virtually impossible. I'd love to see someone make a solid metal ornament nut, re-swap tires, and change wheels. These nuts…
