Functionality. Very easy. I'm glad I bought it. The battery cover comes off too easily which is my only gripe. This seems to be a common problem with modern remotes (Vizio TV remotes come to mind). It does the job.

I tried 2 different universal remote controls for my Sony BluRay player but none of them worked. I bought this thinking it probably wouldn't work, but low and lo and behold it worked great. It's a little complicated and looks a little cheap, but it does the job and it was cheap. If you can't get the universal remote to work, try this one. This worked for me. Listed as generic for Sony Blu Ray Player and our number was listed but it didn't work! Also, it's a very cheap remote - NOTHING looks like a Sony remote, and it's NOT a Sony remote, it's just a cheap foreign brand made out of very flimsy plastic. I realized it was wrong when I felt how easy it is! My kids have had far better toys than this. Product description is misleading! And as weak as it is, it doesn't work!

The battery area began to burn and the battery burned. I noticed the smell of burning plastic but couldn't tell where it was coming from until I picked up the remote and it was HOT! My bed could catch fire if it exploded due to a battery fire. Now it doesn't work at all. This happens within 30 minutes of installing new Energizer AA batteries. I tried new batteries after burning, but I think the remote control is damaged now. Now I can't press the Play button on any of my DVDs because the movies
