After reading the review I was concerned about rust but had no problems. Washed in the dishwasher and by hand, no problems. It's a bit big for my dishwasher so I have to tilt it and take up more space than I prefer, but that's not due to a product defect. I use it for browning pork chops and cooking chicken thighs because squirting is a necessary evil to get a crispy skin!

I like the durability of the handle and strainer and was glad it didn't get hot. This worked perfectly to avoid spilling the sauce. I don't like that it's rusting. I hand washed it and tried towel drying and letting the residue air dry and after 2 uses I noticed brown spots around the edge of the screen. I think it was burn marks if you use it on a smaller pan. I wish I had known this sooner because I thought it was rust. I wanted to order other sizes but now I'm disappointed.
