My 9 year old daughter says they work great with her iPad. The first exact pair lasted 2 years. I have this, exactly the same - I'm satisfied. the sound is smooth, no wheeze, it is used in the car. They are also strong and not thin. Just be careful not to rip the material off the earcup - it's uncomfortable to reattach. My 2 year old ripped them off another pair of the same brand that we have at home.

*** UPDATE *** After 1 year they are still intact and working perfectly. Two first graders didn't break a single pair. TO WIN! You get what you pay for. They work, they're quite comfortable, and they're cheaper than headphones. One of the ear pads had already come off, but we were able to reattach it. I can clearly hear what my child is hearing even though the volume is not turned up to maximum and they can hear what is happening around them. That's what I expected for what I paid. In general, they are good for small children who still break them after a few months.
