Bought this watch a month and a half ago. I still love the look and feel, down to the little details (like how the top link snaps smoothly behind the face). Unlike my newest watch and many of the other watches in the house, this watch hasn't lost or fallen a second in six weeks. I personally don't use a chain as most men's trousers have a small pocket (originally made for a pocket watch I've read) to allow the watch to fit perfectly. This is my second open face Gotham pocket watch. I live on a ranch and I can't wear a watch without tearing it. This open face Gotham watch is the perfect answer for me. I carry it in the front pocket of my jeans. I damaged the first one by forgetting to take it out of my pocket while working on concrete on my stomach under a tractor, crushing the watch. stupid of me Will be more careful in future. This watch is perfect for my active lifestyle. Blue jeans and a crew neck t-shirt are my favorite outfits. The watch has no protruding shank of the time setting knob and is compact. I love this watch. He arrived yesterday. Unfortunately it didn't work. I thought a new battery might be needed. So I asked the watchmaker in town to take a look. . He said his engine broke. This watch is good for the price. My favorite feature is that it's so light. It feels like you have two or three quarters in your pocket, unlike some of the previous watches I've had that cost four silver dollars. My only complaint is that there isn't much to grab. I don't like the chains that come with them so I attached a key ring to it to catch my finger and not drop it. My husband was looking for a work watch that would fit in the small front pocket of his jeans. This little gem is perfect. Got it for our anniversary but had to give it to him early as he used his good pocket watch for work! Construction! If only it were engraved. It's perfect.
