    Doesn't work in a dark basement, needs it fast

    I bought this to use in my basement where there are only pull cord switches. It works on the pitch black night, but the slightest amount of light coming through the tiny window prevents it from turning on and leaves you in the dark. Only works in total darkness. Even turning it off for 15-20 seconds doesn't stay on long enough to be useful. You have to constantly make large movements very close to the light bulb.     They are really bright and the light is white, not "soft white code for yellow". Now there is more light than with 6 60W incandescent lamps. This brand is the only one that says it replaces a 100 watt light bulb, so pay attention. We have a large 2 car carport. It has six lights in total.     Pretty good product

    If you have a light with a transparent appearance (where motion should be detected) on the lamp, these things can save you money and hassle. Leave the light switch on and when someone approaches, the light bulb will detect movement and illuminate for at least a minute. If your device has a colored or translucent sphere, they won't work without the clear or transparent motion they're supposed to detect. I actually replaced the old shade so mine still works, but be warned, it was worth it. This…
